Structural Ceramics

Zirconia Ceramics Izory® and Izory®X magnesia partially stabilized zirconia (MgPSZ), yttria tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (YTZP) and specialty blends of zirconia and alumina.

  • ATZ

ATZ is produced by combining approximately 80% YTZP (almost entirely as crystalline tetragonal zirconia) with 20% fine grained alumina. The fracture toughness of the metastable tetragonal phase is enhanced by the introduction of the fine grained alumina into the structure.

  • Izory® (Mg-PSZ)

    Izory® (Mg-PSZ)

Mg-PSZ , TTZ, Izory® and Izory®X is designed for applications requiring low internal and external surface concentrations of defects and has the best resistance to impact or fracture. Izory® components have proven their cost-effective use versus metals for well over 25 years.

  • YTZP

YTZP Zirconia exists in three different phases: monoclinic, tetragonal, and cubic. YTZP is produced almost entirely as crystalline tetragonal zirconia by incorporating about 3 mol percent yttria, or about 5 weight percent.
